"Strumming for Smiles"
Welcome to the musical world of KUBAS (Pronounced QBAS)
KUBAS was formed in August 2015.
It is a friendly, social society that brings like-minded people together with an interest in ukuleles, banjuleles and music.
The valued "Kubasian" members consist of all ages and abilities including “beginners” – “intermediates” – “professionals” that enjoy a great relaxing night out playing and singing songs.
KUBAS plays a variety of songs from all eras from the 1920's to modern. There are over 150 exciting songs to choose from.
The songs are chosen by the members at each meeting so everyone has a say. There is a song index provided to help make the choice a lot easier.
There are "Teach-Ins" if anyone wishes to learn a particular song, strumming or plucking technique that others members can help with.
KUBAS performs to local groups, helping to bring smiles and raising money for local charities.
KUBAS prides itself to be driven by the members to ensure everyone is entitled to a say in what they would like from the society.
There is no charge at the meetings, that means it is absolutely FREE!
KUBAS meets twice a month on a Monday evening between 8:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m. Dates for the 3rd quarter in 2016 are as below:
The Camden Arms - 1 High Street - Pembury - Kent - TN2 4PH
